The CourseHow to Stay Married is research-driven and will teach you the best practices for couple satisfaction. You’ll learn how to sail toward an exciting, delightful, loving, relationship and avoid the rocky places. You’ll learn how to communicate productively, rather than destructively, and when to take a break. You’ll learn how to make it work, because relationship happiness is not about luck or compatibility. It comes from learning about yourself, your partner, and the skills necessary to navigate the many challenges faced by today’s couples. How to Stay Married is an 8-hour program held on two Sunday afternoons, two weeks apart. You’ll be in a small group, with up to 8 other couples, in a workshop-type setting. This is an active, hands-on program, with limited classroom teaching, that offers a small but powerful investment in your future. You’ll be primarily interacting with your partner, which means you won’t be sharing intimate details with anyone but your first-mate. We’ll cover all the basics while having fun: family of origin issues, fighting rules and communication styles, intimacy, finances, and shared goals are among just a few topics. You’ll leave with a workbook that you’ve personalized, with topics that you can continue to explore together as a couple. You can add this program to your wedding registry. Your family and friends will appreciate the opportunity to provide a meaningful and important gift The cost for the program is $400 per couple. Couples I marry receive a $50 discount.
